While at Rothiemerchus just outside Aviemore you can book pony trekking, tennis courts, segway, mountain biking, wildlife safaris and 4×4 off roading. For bird and animal lovers as well as viewing from Katchana there’s an RSPB hide overlooking the floodplains of the Insh Marshes, a viewing window with bird feeders at the Inshriach Nursery, an Osprey nest and feeding Ospreys right on Loch Insh. To cap it all just over the other side of the loch is the Highland Wildlife Park. Here you can see lots of local wildlife including wildcats and wolfs and pine martin as well as bison, red pandas, arctic foxes and a polar bear.
